Allen R. Both has been keeping and breeding reptiles since 1986.  Ten years prior as just a young boy he constantly searched the woods looking for snakes, lizards, frogs and turtles.  At this young age he volunteered at a park nature center as a junior naturalist showing people and teaching people at a very young age about the reptiles of NJ.  From that boyhood interest stemmed a career path which has brought him to this company that we run today.  Along the way he studied biology and herpetology learning everything he possibly could about reptiles and amphibians.  The vast knowledge continues to grow as there is always more to learn, but from the education received it has been put to good use.  Allen is the author of several books about reptiles including titles like Geckos....Rare and Common and a how to book on caring for Tokay geckos, along with a complete care book for Argentine Horned (Pacman) Frogs.  He has also authored over a dozen articles which have been published by Reptiles, Reptile and Amphibian and Reptile Hobbyist Magazines.  He also was the go to guy ansering all of your reptile questions in the question and answer section of Reptile Hobbyist entitled Herp Mail.  The quest for everything reptile didn't stop there, a new friend caused a great interest in reptile photography.  With the help of this friend he learned the ins and outs of set making, naturalistic design as well as field ph  otography.  This also turned out well as his works graced the pages of many hard cover books, Reptiles and Reptile Hobbyist Magazine.  



    Now we continue to breed reptiles selectively for color, pattern and overall health.  These are the offspring we are proud to offer for sale through this web site as well as at reptile shows around the country.  Since we have a genuine interest in all types of reptiles we also sell captive born and imported animals that we do not breed.  We do however take this one step further than most other animal dealers.  We go the extra mile to properly treat and acclimate our animals to make them ready for sale.  No need to worry about getting an animal you need to nurse back to health, we make sure the animals we sell are healthy and ready for new homes.   




The next best thing to breeding and working with reptiles for Allen is doing shows for bright eyed children looking to touch and learn about reptiles.  It has become his passion.  Making it educational as well as fun is a tough task but one of the most rewarding after seeing the smiles on the faces of happy children.  We also have been fortunate to offer our services to humane societies and fish and wildlife agencies to once again help to rescue and rehabilitate animals from unfavorable situations or catch loose wildlife.  We are a small company, Allen along with his wife Amy take care of booking and doing all of the shows, and making sure your event gets the personal touch.  Herpetologist Allen R.
